Jonathan DeCarlo, CAC-III
Jonathan is a Certified Addiction Counselor (Level III), with experience in addiction/recovery and mental health care since 1995. He is currently the Clinical Director of Recovery 360°, providing psychosocial rehabilitation, individual, group, marriage, and family therapy, and organizational development and consultation services. Jonathan currently serves as a board member of the Colorado Association of Addiction Professionals (CAAP). He has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families during early recovery from addiction and mental health issues and seeks to help people find therapeutic solutions utilizing a wide array of modalities and approaches.
Jonathan has developed care programs for inpatient and outpatient practices. He has also provided therapeutic services for professionals including administration and aviation, education, legal and law enforcement, medicine and mental health. Jonathan has a unique background in psychology, philosophy, and theology. This allows him to utilize resources and perspectives within and beyond traditional therapeutic approaches to help develop solutions that meet an individual’s or organization’s needs in progressive and practical ways. His specific training includes Attachment Theory, Gender Informed and Gender Responsive Trauma Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Harm Reduction Models, Motivational Interviewing and Motivational Enhancement models, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Somatic Experience Therapy (which includes the CAR Model of Trauma).
Jonathan has also trained with David D. Burns, MD in modalities such as Cognitive Therapy and Therapeutic Resistance and T.E.A.M. modality. Specific to addiction/recovery, and Terence Gorski in the CENAPS model of relapse prevention and recovery enhancement. He devoted much of his early career to working with teens and young adults, resulting in training in anger management, self-esteem and self-concept revision, and eating disorder recovery. The diverse experience in an array of care settings has provided experience, insight, and understanding that translates into client centered care informed by practical, evidenced based solutions.
